Phew, it’s been a while since I posted!
Since we last spoke, I completed the Business Intelligence training using Microsoft’s SQL Server 2005 product range, and the team has been restructured as well, to better suit the organisation. We’re all technically being promoted into a more responsible position in MIS. Very cool.
Tonight was the last episode of Will & Grace on local screens. It is sad to see them go.
Our neighbours have still not replaced their bathroom window.
I am starting my studies in earnest this week. I spent a fortune on textbooks and so on in the past week or so. Second year will definitely be more interesting.
Our community theatre group has hit a bit of a bump in the road, with various people resigning for personal reasons. It might be time to call it a day. If I weren’t busy with my degree, I’d give it more time, but it’s one of those tough decisions.
In my poker game that I have on my i-mate phone, I’ve broken through $250 000 on the most difficult setting. Somehow (and M agrees), I don’t think this would translate in real life.
Speaking of money, we went looking for houses the past two weekends and were sorely disappointed at the minimum price to get into the market. It works out to roughly double what we pay to rent right now, to have an equivalent house of our own.
I think my desktop PC has finally died. It’s 3 years old now, I suppose, and it did feel the brunt of a power spike that killed an ex-housemate’s PC. Maybe I can resurrect it still.
