I’ve always been fascinated by world history, especially considering my own heritage. For example, one of my direct ancestors was John Napier, the creator of logarithms.
I’ve just on a whim decided to scan for information on my earliest known ancestor, Gilbride, Earl of Angus, who lived around 900 years ago. Since my grandfather originally drew up my family tree in circa 1988, the Internet has allowed for a much easier sharing of information. I’m now keen to investigate this further, and see just how many people I’m related to. Going back almost a millennium probably means I’m related to you, even.
Food for thought.
Where exactly did you go to research your genealogy? I found lots of resources on the Internet, but most are quite cumbersome.
