Johannesburg – Mongezi Samuel Jinxela is accused of raping 70 women between 1994 and 2004, and will also be facing 29 charges of robbery, 33 of aggravated robbery, one of indecent assault, 61 counts of assault, 64 of kidnapping and one of escaping from lawful custody.
Jinxela will appear in the Johannesburg High Court on Monday, according to court records.

Serial rapist Mongezi Jinxela was found guilty in the Johannesburg High Court on Thursday on 220 charges of rape, kidnapping, robbery and assault, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said.
Spokesperson Tlali Tlali said Justice George Maluleka found Jinxela guilty of raping 57 women—making him one of the country’s worst serial rape offenders.
