I removed the faulty 300GB drive today, and discovered that there is an earth leakage problem with the power supply. This is interesting, because M's iMac also had the same problem until we replaced the cable with a proper 3-pin one.
Anyway, I have a suspicion that the computer is having issues because of this dodgy power supply, so I need to troubleshoot it.
I sincerely regret not buying an iMac when I looked to upgrade. This PC is just not worth the effort.
In other news, I was "And Partner" last night for Marinus's graduation ball. I met up with an old school friend (and coincidentally the venue was where we'd had our matric dance), and we caught up on old times. Hi Bruno!
The ball itself was good, but I won't recommend the caterers, as the food took ages to arrive (seems to be a trend this week!). Photos are on Facebook.
