Happy New Year. It’s 2015.
With the new calendar comes a fresh installation of Yosemite on my laptop, which is almost a year old now.
I didn’t want to do this because it meant having to remember what I’d done over 4½ years to set my Mac up the way I like it, but I had to do it because there was 4½ years’ worth of cruft.
I’m sort of back on track now. Minor inconveniences. Yosemite bugs. Files not where I expect them to be. Configuration differences.
I’ve decided NOT to run a beta release of OS X for the foreseeable future, so we’ll see how long that lasts.
So with my clean drive and empty calendar, I wish you good fortune, and hope you make the right decisions this year.
