I've finished reading what I thought was just another hijacking article, until the end of the page:
"The four men, all Chinese citizens, are due to appear in Kroonstad magistrate's court next week on charges of armed robbery, kidnapping and attempted murder, said Nagel."
I'm surprised, I must be honest. Traditionally, the Chinese people I've encountered in South Africa are humble people and very hard workers. Granted, our neighbours are a noisy bunch and tend to break windows, but I still suspect that they work hard all day and only get home late.
Anyway, it's very interesting all the same.
You should probably not completely discount the possibility that your neighbours' business _is_ what you read in the paper [I'm sure you've seen Mr & Mrs Smith]. They could be fighting about the poor 'takings' after a long hard day at work…
