Imagine, if you will, Google Power, or GPower.

Imagine, if you will, that Google will become involved in research for cheap(er) electricity, due in part to them being the top user of electricity in one US state (according to rumour).

This will allow them to start purchasing or building power stations, and in turn electric utilities, eventually taking over the world’s power grid. They will then be able to siphon more electricity to their own server farms (rumoured to exceed one million servers), and grow more powerful. On the bright side, we’ll be able to share electricity across the oceans and it will become cheaper.

It’s not unreasonable when you think about it. First they store your data, then they provide the electricity to access that data. Who needs to worry about Microsoft anymore?

Lord, thy name is GPower.
