ACLS: Would you ever appear on a general knowledge show, such as ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’?

Terry Pratchett: No, I happen to be one of those people whose memory shuts down under pressure. The answers would come to me in the middle of the night in my sleep! Besides, I am a millionaire.

It’s now ten years on, so I guess it won’t do any harm. Let’s talk about coicidences for a moment.

The book “Feet of Clay”, by Terry Pratchett, refers to a certain individual called “Rudolph Potts” of the “Bakers Guild”, who is dead on page 55 of the paperback version. This book was written shortly after I sent Mr Pratchett an email reprimanding him for incorrect grammar usage in a previous book. He had written “two choices” and meant “two options”.

My advice: never write to a living author and complain about his grammar.
