Have you noticed that the general trend in naming a country "The Democratic Republic of X", or "The Democratic People's Republic of X" or even "The People's Republic of X" usually implies that there is no say by the people expressed in the country's name, except those in absolute power?

Anyway, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (or as we call them, North Korea) …

Sorry, I just had a thought. In Afrikaans, a DPK is a "donnerse poesklap", or "thundering vagina slap" (literal translation). I wonder if anyone can think of something equally dirty with North Korea's initials DPRK?

… so anyway, North Korea have said that any sanctions imposed on them after their nuclear test (which was more of a fart than a real bomb) would be a "declaration of war".

For some reason, Michael Stipe's voice is running through my head singing about the end of the world as we know it, and how he feels fine.
