Riddle me this: Why am I having trouble sleeping? I didn't have any caffeine or sugar since 5pm, and dinner was a combination of mince and pasta. And yet, here I sit after midnight, unable to fall asleep. I tried lying down for 45 minutes, but it didn't work! Now I'm listening to Men Without Hats' Pop Goes The World, and I've just finished adding about a chapter to my book (I've been writing it since December 2001 and I'm almost on page 60! That's 19 000 words for the people who know about this sort of thing).
Yay! Only nine days to go and I’m off to Europe!
Did you know? It takes just over two hours to print 1324 pages of the Macromedia Flash 5 Bible across a fast Ethernet LAN to a Xerox Document Centre, back to back and two pages per sheet? And it's still warm when you take it out!
Has anyone ever heard of Asperger’s Syndrome? Well it seems I’ve got it. It certainly explains a lot. I work for a bunch of ARSEHOLES! Today is the SECOND time since the beginning of March 2003 that I have been identified for retrenchment. This time though, it's not just my department they want to close. No, the holding company wants to pretty much get rid of everyone. Well fuck them, I say. If you want to offer me a job, I'm REALLY interested.
It’s utter madness, I tell you! I got some crazy notion the other day to buy a dot-com domain name, no more than four characters long, and I settled on the most unlikely combination: xqrx.com. Then I decided to port my personal site over to that domain. Then I decided to change the name fromContinue reading xqrx.com
What's really interesting is how the blog has taken off on the Internet. Someone called it the "new BBS", and in some ways I agree. Then again, in some ways I disagree, only because its community theme runs a bit dry when one considers that if you're in the right clique, you'll be able to promote your blog, vacuous as it may seem, as a top visited site.
