According to the family tree my paternal grandfather drew up before he died in 1989, my earliest (known) ancestor is Gilbride, Earl of Angus. This is correctly written as Gille Brigte, considering that Gaelic was the language of the day.
Very sad
An 8 year old boy died in hospital hours after being rescued from drowning by paramedics and so forth. See related link.

Last Kiss
We just came back from watching The Last Kiss, starring Zach Braff. I didn't enjoy it in terms of the storyline, but it was a good movie. I kept saying "kick him in the balls". Go watch it, you'll understand.
