Blast from the Past

I'm finished! On a whim, I typed in the name of the console computer system I had in the early 1980s, my first computer if you will, and I found it!

Quote of the Week

“Simplicity is prerequisite for reliability.” – Prof. Dr. Edsger W. Dijkstra, in a 1975 article about programming truths.

To Market, To Market

I forget the rest of this nursery rhyme, but it’s a reference to my being back on the market career-wise. I’m looking for work, so wish me luck. I have several interviews lined up already.

Standard Crank

I just tried to log into my CC's bank account now to find that I cannot get in – it says no accounts are linked to the card number. How bizarre!

Unimpressed

Project Dreamwings

Tonight I was inspired by the story of Arthur Piercy, an ex-fighter pilot who was shot down during the Border War and became a quadriplegic. He is an impassioned speaker and it's worth checking out his website, Project Dreamwings.

I've now made the blog look almost identical to the rest of my site. Pretty cool, huh?

Sally Forth

My housemate and I get up to a lot of nonsense (no, you sick perverts, we do not, nor will we ever, have any sexual contact), but tonight he took the cake.

More RAM

I bought more RAM for my PC after selling two 512MB DIMMs to a client earlier in the year. Should make things a little quicker at least – I'm back up to 1GB again. Now all I need is more disk space. 300GB isn't enough!
