Yesterday I successfully avoided being anywhere near my computer (or any computer for that matter), and I'm quite impressed.
I've always been fascinated by world history, especially considering my own heritage. For example, one of my direct ancestors was John Napier, the creator of logarithms.

On Monday, after delaying for as long as I could, I have to show my manager what I've been doing for the past few weeks. For the record, I have a headache from hell. It started yesterday afternoon on the drive home, when I caught a flash of sunlight reflecting off a glass building. After I lost peripheral vision in my left eye and noticed naked dancing greek llamas dancing ponies in my field of vision, I was a little concerned.
With http://ncane.com growing steadily (almost 500 URLs shortened!), I am about to launch another service with a partner who has been helping me on it for a couple of years. Let's put this in perspective though: I had the idea in 2001, and asked some people to help me. For various reasons, those people couldn't do it. In 2004 I approached this new guy. He said yes, and agreed to take half of my business as payment. Well, it seemed like a good idea then, and I think it's still a good idea now 🙂
