One of the most annoying things in Outlook over the years has been duplicate emails, usually as a result of merging PST files. I've been using Outlook since 1997, so there was a fair number of duplicates.
My original reason for moving my email to Thunderbird was so that I could run SUSE 10.1 on my laptop.
Aero is back. I did a full defrag and am using the new Diskeeper intelligent defragger, and it has made the computer much more responsive. If Aero bugs me, it's gone though. I found the Vista Basic interface to be reasonable enough, so it is an adequate replacement to Aero if necessary. The biggest issue I have is when my typing takes too long to appear on screen. Waiting half a second every sentence is annoying as hell.
Last night was the final stage of transferring my 10GB+ of data onto Vista, and playing around with Office 2007 whilst working on my UNISA assignments.
Well, it's done. I got Windows Vista running on my notebook. I'm still struggling through getting it set up right, and haven't quite turned off the visual styles yet.
I've finally cracked (if you'll excuse the bad computer pun) Rijndael encryption in the new ShutOff 2007. Now the settings are encrypted in memory before touching the Windows Registry. Tr's cool.

NCANE.COM flirted briefly with 3000 active redirected URLs today before I cleaned up the database, recycled old unused links (six months old and zero hit count gets a redirect reused), and banned another few IP address ranges and domains.
Some of you may only know me as the developer of ShutOff 2000. Here's a little history lesson, and an update to the development of the "new" version.
